President Trump used a midterm campaign rally in Dalton, Georgia, on Friday to mock Sen. Jon Ossoff over campaign spending on makeup, claiming the Democrat has spent more on cosmetics than any senator in history.

“He goes full bore. He’s got the makeup artist. They’re in there all the time. I don’t know how he does it, but he spends a fortune,” Trump told the crowd.

“He spends more money on makeup than any man or woman in the history of the Senate,” Trump said. “The women aren’t happy about it.”

Ossoff is seeking a second Senate term this cycle. According to the Washington Free Beacon, which reported on the spending in July, his campaign has spent thousands of dollars in campaign funds on “makeup services.” Since February, the campaign has paid nearly $3,000 to makeup artist Stephanie Ponder, whose past work includes the films “The Notebook” and “The Hunger Games.” The outlet reported that Ossoff, 39, has spent more on makeup services than any federal candidate running in 2026.

Ossoff’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the New York Post.

Trump also made light of his own grooming habits during the remarks. “I wear very little, and I do it myself,” he said. “Because if you don’t put a little on, you look a little bit like a dead person — and I don’t want to look that way.”

The rally was held in support of Ossoff’s Republican challenger, Rep. Mike Collins, and GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson. Trump praised Collins’s record in Congress and his appearance. “There’s nobody more respected than Mike, with the job he’s done as a congressman,” Trump said, adding, “He is central casting. If I’m casting a movie for a senator — I like the white hair. I like that big, strong build — that’s what I want.”

Trump offered similar praise for Jackson, calling him a “great businessman” and a “very handsome, distinguished, beautiful looking guy.”
