Scottish wrestler Joe Hendry has released his debut album "Beyond Belief," featuring a song calling for Logan Paul's firing, while insisting he writes his own lyrics rather than relying on AI.

Joe Hendry, the Scottish-born professional wrestler who has held WWE NXT and TNA championships, has released his first full-length music album, “Beyond Belief,” a project he says he wrote in roughly 34 days.

Hendry, who performed live music as a child in Scotland before turning to wrestling, told OutKick Dropkick the album grew out of a smaller idea. WWE Music had originally wanted a single song about fellow wrestler The Miz, but the concept expanded first into an EP and then into the full 11-track record.

“It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. It’s very exciting,” Hendry said. “I had such fun when I released ‘I Believe in Joe Hendry’ as a single, but like an album is a whole different beast. That’s a big commitment for our fans and music listeners a full feature-length album. I appreciate people taking the time to listen to it and buy it, and it’s just been very humbling to see the response.”

The Logan Paul song

One track on the album takes aim at Logan Paul, with whom Hendry has feuded for months. Hendry has performed the song live on “Monday Night Raw” and used it to interrupt matches involving The Judgment Day.

He said the song came together on short notice after a planned storyline about his Raw debut changed at the last minute.

“I was told that I’d be debuting on the Raw after WrestleMania, so I had about a week’s notice to come up with a song, but it was gonna be, ‘Raw, Raw, Joe Hendry signed to Raw,’ but then they announced my appearance, it was delayed, and they announced my appearance the following week, so me signing to Raw was no longer the story. And I needed to go after someone, and I’ve always been of the opinion you go after the biggest name in the building, and that’s Logan Paul.”

Hendry said Paul is WWE’s most Googled star, which made him the obvious target. “So, I’d say about a week for that one,” he added.

He said Paul is no fan of the song but that he has no intention of dropping the campaign.

“Obviously, he hates it. He despises it. It tells the truth. It’s ‘Logan Paul should be fired.’ We all know this. This is a campaign that I’ve been on. It’s why it’s an important part of the album. I think when you have a platform like mine, you have to use it for good, and that will probably involve trying to get Logan Paul fired, and that feels like a quest that I’ll never stop.”

Standing against AI

With artificial intelligence tools increasingly used to generate melodies and whole tracks across the music industry, Hendry said he has no interest in letting a machine do the writing for him.

“For me and my songwriting, I feel like that’s my skill, and I don’t want to use AI to write songs because I don’t know, I can just, I can personally tell the difference between a song that’s been AI generated and that’s been written by a human being and it’s a skill that I’ve worked very hard on. So I understand that we live in a world where there are tools that you can use. For example, there are amazing keyboard sounds and drum sounds that you can get just by pressing buttons on your keyboard, which obviously as musicians like those are amazing tools. But in terms of the actual creation of music, I think I’m going to trust Joe Hendry before I trust the machine.”

Hendry is not the only WWE performer turning to music. Liv Morgan released “Trouble” ahead of WrestleMania 42 and made it her entrance theme, while Alexa Bliss is set to release a track with her husband, Ryan Cabrera, later this week.

Hendry said he would be open to collaborating with other WWE musicians in future, though not with Morgan at present given her ties to The Judgment Day.

“I’m always open to that. Right now, I will say, look, I’m open to collaborations, but right now myself and Liv Morgan are not on very good terms. She is obviously in the judgment Day who I have frequent problems with, so, I’m afraid that, I’m not going to lend my songwriting skills to the Judgment Day at this time.”

Hendry noted on X this week that “Beyond Belief” had climbed as high as No. 2 on one iTunes chart.
