New York Comic Con returns to the Jacob Javits Center on Thursday, Oct. 8, kicking off a four-day run of celebrity panels and fan gatherings through the weekend.

This year’s guest list includes Oscar winner Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen of “Star Wars” fame, Rosario Dawson, Sebastian Stan, and a trio from the “Game of Thrones” and “House of the Dragon” universe: Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Matt Smith.

Also scheduled to appear are Ian McDiarmid, Carrie-Anne Moss, Kyle McLachlan, Matthew Lillard and comic book writer-artist Frank Miller. Three “Smallville” alumni — Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum — round out the weekend lineup, along with Shaquille O’Neal, Rainn Wilson, Mick Foley, Paul Bettany and Stevie Van Zandt of “The Sopranos.”

Tickets remain available for those planning a last-minute trip. As of publication, the lowest price found for a four-day pass was $299 including fees on Vivid Seats, while single-day passes start at $119 including fees.

The convention draws fans well beyond those chasing celebrity sightings. Attendees traditionally turn out in elaborate costumes, and the event has built a reputation for welcoming fans regardless of how they show up. One review of the 2025 edition from Boca Mag described the floor as a place where “no one feels out of place,” noting that whether someone arrives “cloaked in sequins, armor, or imagination,” they’re accepted as they are.

For those who can’t make it to Manhattan this year, other major conventions are on the calendar in the months ahead, including Los Angeles Comic Con (Oct. 30 through Nov. 1), Emerald City Comic Con (March 4-7, 2027) and San Diego Comic Con (July 22-25, 2027).
