Professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known to fans as Pac in All Elite Wrestling and previously as Adrian Neville and Neville in WWE, was found dead in Illinois on Sunday. He was 40 years old. His death came just hours after he had performed at AEW’s All Out event.

Satterley had spent several years wrestling for WWE before becoming one of the first wrestlers to join AEW when the company launched in 2019. Over the course of his career he won multiple championships in both promotions.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who sits on the board of TKO, the parent company that owns WWE, posted a tribute on Instagram addressed to Satterley’s family and the wider wrestling community.

“I was just so sorry to hear this news. As global as professional wrestling is, as global as WWE is, as much as AEW is growing into this phenomenal wrestling company, and wherever you’re wrestling at around the world, Asia, Latin America, Europe, it doesn’t matter, as global as professional wrestling is, we’re still a very tight-knit unit and a tight-knit group because we all share the same DNA. And that is our love and our passion for the squared circle and to perform for audiences around the world. And we’re a little crazy, and that’s OK. But when we lose one of our own, it hurts. And when they’re young and so insanely talented, it really, it really f—ing hurts, especially when that life is robbed and you don’t get that opportunity to live a full life.”

Johnson also addressed AEW owner Tony Khan, wrestler QT Marshall and the rest of the AEW locker room, telling them he was sorry for their loss, and offered his condolences directly to the Satterley family.

“For the Satterley family, I wish you love and light as you endure this pain and stay strong.”

WWE posted a tribute graphic honoring Neville ahead of “Monday Night Raw,” and AEW planned a tribute edition of “Dynamite” on Wednesday night in Satterley’s memory.
